Coworking is more than just sharing a desk. It’s about sharing energy, ideas, and the kind of support that turns plans into action. Here at Salford Innovation Forum, we see that magic every day.
Across Salford and Manchester, freelancers, small teams, and early-stage startups are embracing coworking. It offers the perfect balance, a professional environment without a long-term contract. You also get collaboration opportunities and the chance to grow alongside like-minded people. As a result, the region’s coworking scene is thriving. More businesses are realising that agility and connection are key to success.
Celebrating International Coworking Day in Salford
This International Coworking Day, we’re shining a light on one of our favourite spaces: our dedicated desk room. It’s where freelancers, startups, and small businesses find not just a desk, but a launchpad.
From Four Desks to Nine: Growing Our Dedicated Desk Community
We opened the dedicated desk space in February with just four desks. The first to join was Emad from Ipex Soft Ltd, a web designer. Since joining, he has built great connections within the building. For example, he has collaborated with Mark Collier, the second person to join our room.
“I’ve had a truly great experience at Salford Innovation Forum,” Emad says. “The office space is ideal for businesses looking for a professional yet friendly environment. A special thank you to Artur for the outstanding business support — knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping businesses succeed.”
That feedback fuels us. Because of demand, we’ve expanded our dedicated desk room to fit eight desks. Now, there’s more space for creatives, innovators, and entrepreneurs to take their next step.
Coworking With Business Support for Startups and Freelancers
What makes our coworking offer stand out? It’s the people and the hands-on business support.
Tenants like Emad and Mark aren’t building their businesses alone. They’re working with Artur, our Innovation Director, who delivers a tailored accelerator programme. This includes branding, business strategy, product development, and marketing. As a result, founders grow with more confidence.
“Since signing up for business support, everything began to come together quickly,” Mark says. “Artur listens and challenges you, but only to deliver the best possible branding, marketing and business. The journey continues and I look forward to seeing the results of my business when launching day comes.”
A Vibrant Mix of Industries in Our Salford Coworking Space
Our community has grown with the arrival of Petre from Lumine Soft, a Manchester-based software company, and Faisal Abdul from Manchester Furniture Supplies, an online furniture drop shipper. Together, they’ve brought fresh skills, ideas, and energy into the space.
We’re passionate about helping our companies succeed. That’s why we offer flexible contracts. Businesses can expand into bigger offices when they need to. We’ve seen it many times, a single desk becoming a thriving team ready for their next challenge.
More Than Just Office Space: A Supportive Salford Community
From one-to-one guidance to everyday community support, we help people go further, faster. Yet we never lose the sense of belonging that makes coworking so special.
It’s not just about the work. From Sarah’s warm welcome at reception to the daily help from Kayleigh and Kristina in our management team, the building is designed to feel positive and productive. It’s a place people genuinely want to be.
“Overall, it’s a brilliant place to work and grow a business,” says Emad. “I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and innovative office space.”
