This month, we hosted a stress wellness workshop in Salford with Clare Pritchard, a local stress wellness coach who helps people manage stress through calm and simple techniques. Clare joined us at Salford Innovation Forum for a free taster session with our residents and regular visitors. It turned out to be the midweek reset we all needed.
Breathing, Sharing, and Slowing Down
Clare began the session with a gentle breathing exercise to help reduce stress. Within minutes, the energy in the room shifted. Everyone began to relax and focus.
As we continued, the conversation opened up. People spoke honestly about their challenges—being parents, company founders, or living as neurodivergent professionals. We shared our sleep routines too. Some listen to white noise or podcasts, others rewatch familiar TV shows, and a few need complete silence to drift off.
By the end of the breathing session, the room felt calm, light, and refreshed. It was amazing to see how such a simple exercise could create such a big change.
A Little Basket of Wisdom
On the table, Clare had placed a basket filled with cards. When asked about them, she explained, “Pick a card that’s been calling out to you and find the matching page in the book—it’ll be the message you’ve been needing to hear.”
I picked up the card that had caught my eye since the start of the session. Somehow, it was exactly the message I needed. It felt like it had found me at the perfect moment.
Conversations that Inspire
After the workshop, Clare stayed to chat with a few of us about her journey into wellness coaching. Her story was inspiring—filled with openness, warmth, and a clear passion for helping others reconnect with themselves. She shared how stress management doesn’t need to be complicated. It just takes awareness, patience, and a few mindful tools to find calm again.
Clare’s Work and Wellness Workshops
Alongside her one-to-one coaching sessions, Clare runs workplace wellness workshops that focus on stress reduction, mindfulness, and mental wellbeing. These sessions help teams learn practical ways to manage stress, boost focus, and build resilience in a busy work environment.
If your organisation could benefit from bringing more calm into the workday, her stress wellness workshops are a great place to start.
Thank You, Clare
We’re so grateful to Clare for spending time with our community and reminding us how powerful a simple breathing exercise can be. The whole experience left us feeling refreshed, grounded, and ready to take on the rest of the week.
