Daniel Niasoff is the co‑founder and CEO of Qumulus, a technology company on a mission to reinvent public cloud by giving organisations greater control, flexibility, and cost efficiency beyond the dominance of hyperscalers.
Qumulus believes in a future where businesses can own and manage their cloud infrastructure in a way that better suits their needs. By offering an alternative approach, the company helps organisations reduce costs while gaining far more transparency and control over their systems.
While building Qumulus at Salford Innovation Forum, Daniel and his team achieved a number of significant milestones. Early on, the business secured a £500,000 Innovate UK Smart Grant, which enabled Qumulus to move from concept into a fully operational business. More recently, the company attracted $1,000,000 in investment, supporting further growth and development.
Beyond funding, the value of being based at Salford Innovation Forum has come from strategic business support and trusted guidance. Acting as both coach and sounding board, the Forum’s Innovation Director, Artur Grzybowski supported Daniel with go‑to‑market strategy, introductions to sector experts, and decision‑making during critical growth stages.
Having that level of experience and support close by has helped Qumulus navigate complex challenges with confidence. As the business continues to scale, it does so from strong foundations built at Salford Innovation Forum.
