Attendees can expect an interactive session with several breakout activities with peer-to-peer discussions. \nReal-life examples will be discussed on the day – organisation confidentially can be accommodated if preferred. \nAttendees can expect to come away from the session with a better understanding of how a wellbeing strategy can not only help their workforce but also their business. \nThis workshop will help attendees: \n\nTo be able to understand what a wellbeing strategy is and how to implement one for their business\nWhat a wellbeing strategy should/could contain\nThe benefits of implementing a wellbeing strategy for their business and workforce\n\nMeet Your Trainer \nEmma Connolly’s role is to engage\, support and guide businesses in improving the wellbeing of their workforce and leaders\, ensuring they have the tools required to implement or enhance their existing wellbeing strategy. \nPrior to joining the GM Business Growth Hub\, she spent two years as Culture and Wellbeing Lead for a large Greater Manchester-based organisation\, developing strategies that addressed the varied needs of a workforce that was spread across multiple business units. \nOriginally from Australia\, Emma moved to Manchester in 2014\, and honed her organisational and stakeholder management skills while working as a PA for senior management in various private sector business. \n\nThe session is targeted at business leaders and those with the capacity to make decisions in regards to workforce wellbeing. \nAs this workshop is fully-funded\, businesses are subject to funders’ eligibility criteria. It’s association with ‘winning’\, ’success’ and ‘persuading’ ignores the concepts of authenticity\, credibility and trust. The ability to build and develop confidence through a clear and compelling narrative is key to gaining trust from individuals or groups. Hosted by Access to Finance this workshop aims to provide you with the tools and insights to develop a compelling pitch or presentation.\nThe workshop is based upon the work undertaken by the A2F team in supporting founders and entrepreneurs access funding for growth. However\, investors\, often thought of as the most logical of audiences\, base their judgement on whether they trust your vision of the future. Critically\, the evidence highlights that decisions are influenced by whether they believe you are credible and have the energy\, expertise\, team and insights to succeed. These observations clearly have important implications for all business owners. \nMeet your trainer – Ian Dixon \nAs lead for the GM Business Growth Hub Access To Finance service\, Ian engages with private and institutional investors across sectors and geographies with the aim of increasing investment into innovative growth businesses. Ian is a chartered accountant with extensive professional and commercial experience. Ian has worked across many eco-systems focussed upon commercialising innovation and unlocking access to finance.
